  • 防火探热器是居家防火设备的第一线防范器材。当室温达到一定的温度或出现剧增的现象时，防火探热器便会发出警报。
  • 除了住家，防火探热器也常设于汽车隧道及宗教场所等处。
  • 新加坡民防部队（Singapore Civil Defence Force）规定每层住屋至少须安装一个防火探热器。流动面积超过 70 平方米的楼层则必须安装至少两个防火探测器。
  • 新加坡民防部队也建议屋主以烟雾探测器取代防火探热器。
ETYMOLOGY
  • Fire detectors are the first line of defence in preventing fires in homes. When the room temperature reaches a certain threshold or shows signs of spiking, the fire detector would sound an alarm.
  • Besides residences, fire detectors are also commonly installed in traffic tunnels and at religious sites.
  • The Singapore Civil Defence Force stipulates that there should be at least one fire detector installed on each storey of a residential building. Storeys with a common passage area exceeding 70 square meters must be equipped with at least two fire detectors.
  • The Singapore Civil Defence Force also advises homeowners to replace fire detectors with smoke detectors.
