  • 防火探热器是居家防火设备的第一线防范器材。当室温达到一定的温度或剧增时,防火探热器便会发出警报。
  • 除了住家,防火探热器也常设于汽车隧道与宗教场所等处。
  • 新加坡民防部队 (Singapore Civil Defence Force) 规定每层住屋必须安装至少一个防火探热器。流动面积超过70平方米的楼层则必须安装至少两个防火探测器。
  • 新加坡民防部队也建议屋主以烟雾探测器取代防火探热器。
ETYMOLOGY
  • Heat detectors are the first line of defence in preventing fires in homes. When the room temperature reaches a certain threshold or shows signs of spiking, the heat detector sounds an alarm.
  • Besides residences, heat detectors are also commonly installed in road tunnels and places of worship.
  • The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) stipulates that there should be at least one heat detector installed on each storey of a residential building. Storeys with a common passage area exceeding 70 square metres must be equipped with at least two heat detectors.
  • The SCDF advises homeowners to replace heat detectors with smoke detectors.
