由来
  • 防火探热器是居家防火设备的第一线防范器材。当室温达到一定的温度或出现剧增的现象时，防火探热器便会发出警报。
  • 除了住家，防火探热器也常设于汽车隧道及宗教场所等处。
  • 新加坡民防部队（Singapore Civil Defence Force）规定每层住屋至少须安装一个防火探热器。流动面积超过 70 平方米的楼层则必须安装至少两个防火探测器。
  • 新加坡民防部队也建议屋主以烟雾探测器取代防火探热器。
例句
“金茉莉”是建屋局首次让 55 岁及以上的公众以预购方式购买小型公寓，这类组屋还附有其他方便老人的设备，如防滑地砖、扶手、防火探热器等。（《联合早报》， 19/7/2010）
