Noun

Apartments built by the Government for the elderly. They are smaller in size than regular flats and come equipped with elder-friendly features. Also known in Mandarin as “老人公寓”.

由来
  • 1998年，建屋发展局（Housing & Development Board，简称“建屋局”）为55岁以上的年长者推出小型的组屋单位，名为“乐龄公寓”，分布在淡滨尼（Tampines）、勿洛（Bedok）、裕廊东（Jurong East）、义顺（Yishun）等地区。
  • 1998至2010年间，共推出了约3,400个乐龄公寓单位。
  • 乐龄公寓设有方便年长者的设备，包括在厕所内使用防滑地砖、安装扶手、为警报系统装上拉绳、安装防火探热器等。
  • 2014年，建屋局为年长者所推出的“海军部村庄”（Kampung Admiralty），是新加坡第一个结合小型公寓单位、商店、小贩中心及医疗设备的综合项目，共有104个单位。该项目于2017年竣工时，共售出103个单位。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Housing & Development Board (HDB) offers small flats known as studio apartments to those aged 55 and above. These flats are found in areas such as Tampines, Jurong East, Yishun and Bedok.
  • Between 1998 and 2010, a total of about 3,400 studio apartment units were launched.
  • Studio apartments are equipped with elder-friendly features, including non-slip floor tiles and handrails in the toilet, pull-cord alarm systems, and smoke detectors.
  • In 2014, HDB launched Kampung Admiralty, Singapore’s first integrated development combining flats for the elderly, shops, a hawker centre, and medical facilities. A total of 103 out of the 104 flats were sold upon the completion of the development in 2017.
