Noun
Apartments built by the Government for the elderly. They are smaller in size than regular flats and come equipped with elder-friendly features. Also known in Mandarin as “老人公寓”.
政府推出屋契回购计划、乐龄安居花红、恢复建造2房式组屋、兴建小型乐龄公寓等,都是为了应付人口迅速老龄化的需要,帮助越来越多的年长者确保晚境生活的安稳。(《联合早报》,29/12/2012)
除了乐龄公寓之外,建屋局也推出了其他亲乐龄的房屋措施,包括2009年推出的屋契回购计划(Lease Buyback Scheme)、2012年推出的乐龄易计划(Enhancement for Active Seniors)、2013年推出的乐龄安居花红(Silver Housing Bonus)、2015年推出的二房式灵活计划(2-room Flexi Scheme)等。
In addition to studio apartments, the HDB also introduced other housing measures for senior citizens, including the Lease Buyback Scheme launched in 2009, the Enhancement for Active Seniors (EASE) programme launched in 2012, the Silver Housing Bonus launched in 2013, and the 2-room Flexi Scheme launched in 2015.
