Noun

Apartments built by the Government for the elderly. They are smaller in size and equipped with elder-friendly facilities. Also known in Mandarin as “老人公寓”.

由来

1998年，建屋局 (Housing and Development Board) 为55岁以上的年长者推出小型的组屋单位，名为乐龄公寓，分布在淡滨尼 (Tampines) 、裕廊东 (Jurong East) 、义顺 (Yishun) 、勿洛 (Bedok) 等地区。
1998年至2010年间，共推出了约3400个乐龄公寓单位。
乐龄公寓设有方便年长者的设备，包括在厕所内使用防滑地砖、安装扶手、为警报系统装上拉绳、及安装防火探热器等。
2014年，建屋局为年长者所推出的“海军部村庄” (Kampung Admiralty) ，是新加坡第一个结合小型公寓单位、商店、小贩中心和医疗设备的综合项目，共有104个单位。该项目于2017年竣工时，共售出103个单位。

ETYMOLOGY

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) launched small HDB flats known as studio apartments for those aged 55 and above. These flats are found in areas such as Tampines, Jurong East, Yishun and Bedok.
Between 1998 and 2010, a total of about 3,400 studio apartment units were launched.
Studio apartments are equipped with elder-friendly facilities, including non-slip floor tiles and handrails in the toilet, drawstrings for the emergency alert system, and fire-prevention heat sensors.
In 2014, HDB launched Kampung Admiralty for the elderly. It was Singapore's first integrated development that combines small apartment units, shops, hawker centres and medical facilities, with a total of 104 units. A total of 103 units were sold upon the completion of the development in 2017.
