  • The Mandarin term “制服人员” is a paraphrase of the English term “uniformed officer”.
  • In Singapore, uniformed personnel mainly include soldiers, police officers, personnel from the Singapore Civil Defence Force, Singapore Prison Service, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, and the Central Narcotics Bureau.
  • Apart from military personnel, who come under the Ministry of Defence, the other uniformed officers listed above come under the Ministry of Home Affairs and are collectively known as the Home Team.
