由来
  • 新加坡是个多元种族、多元语言、多元文化的国家，人口以华人占多数，而当各种族的国人在交流互动时，语言便互相影响。
  • 在多元语言的环境下，新加坡华语结合了本地英语、马来语及华族方言等语言的词汇、语法、语音等方面的特色。
  • 因此，新加坡华语是新加坡文化的特色之一，也是新加坡华人身份认同的象征。
  • 新加坡的双语政策促进了语言的交流，因而也间接带动了新加坡华语的形成。
