One of the oldest Chinese temples in Singapore, located at Phillip Street. It is mainly dedicated to the worship of Mazu and the Mysterious Heavenly Highest Deity or Heavenly Emperor (“玄天上帝”).
粤海清庙的英文名也写作“Wak Hai Cheng Bio”,源自其潮州话发音。
The temple’s name is also commonly written as “Wak Hai Cheng Bio” in English, based on its Teochew pronunciation.
